Port Elizabeth Golf Club prides itself in the atmosphere that the traditional clubhouse and bar offers a place to enjoy a drink after your round or a dinner on a Friday night with the family.
The clubhouse facilities include change rooms for men and ladies with showers, a halfway house offering light meals, a bar and a lounge with a veranda which has a spectacular outlook over the course. Caddies and motorised golf carts are available for hire, golf carts must be booked well in advance due to a small fleet of carts available at the club.
The Halfway House is not only for golfers! Enjoy lunch surrounded by nature on our patio. We cater for everyone that wants to stop in for something to eat and drink. The Coffee Shop is open to the public and our kitchen serves a variety of meals from breakfast, burgers, toasted sandwiches, salads and variety to choose from.
The Lounge Bar is the perfect place to gather with your friends after your round of golf. With a variety of snacks, meals and beverages we offer something for everyone.
Live entertainment and the Joker Drawer are firm favourites of PEGC visitors. Keep an eye out on our Facebook page for information on events at the Club.
Our function rooms can provide for most occasions with facilities available from an 8 person board meeting to a 200 guest wedding reception.
With picturesque views leading out over our golf course, we are the ideal venue for you to get away from the hustle & bustle of the town. Come relax & enjoy our hospitality in this productive setting with exquisite on-site catering, which makes this an ideal venue for your next conference, seminar or product launch.

Due to The Club’s central location, it is easily accessible for your delegates and guests with the benefit of being in a secure environment. Experienced staff is always on hand to answer any questions you may have and to advise which of the venues will be most suitable to your needs. It is advisable to set up a meeting with one of the Event Coordinators in advance, to ensure that they are sufficiently prepared to assist you with your requirements and that venues are vacant for viewing.
Please note the Club is not an exclusive venue. The patios adjoining the venues are not included in the venue hire and even though they may be used by guests during your event it is considered a general club area.
In developing the Trails we stayed well clear of the fairways, greens and tee’s – the golfers’ needs must always be respected! Caring for the environment by keeping the Trails clean of rubble and plastic will always be a priority. We must not take this ‘garden’ on our doorstep for granted.
In the parking area at PEGC we have a ‘Trail House’ where The Candy Cycle Store operates from as Trail Managers. The actual start and finish of the Trail is at the Imbono Trail Head just off the parking area. There is an honesty box and Zapper where you are required to pay a R20 per person per day Trail Fee.
There is also the option to join PEGC as a ‘PEGC Trails Member’ which will give you access to trails, clubhouse showers and other Clubhouse facilities.
